You asked for it!! This is the plan I follow in instances of pain flare ups/low mood/illness/need for physical or mental empowerment, to prepare for physical events and to release excess weight. If you have a medical issue, check with your doctor, but I imagine she/he will agree that treating yourself nicely helps!
1 Make space in your schedule. Say no to invitations so you can have freedom in your day.
2 Drink green smoothies, search smoothie on my blog.
3 Positivity Training and Affirmations:
Each time a negative thought comes to mind or pain is felt, acknowledge it and tell yourself that you are an exceptional. Something like “I am happy, healthy and whole”, “I feel amazing”, “I enjoy an active and healthy life”.
4 Anti Inflammatory Blood Sugar Stabilization Diet:
Enjoy whole grains like quinoa and brown rice, lean proteins, loads of your favorite greens, healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil and nuts.
Eat five meals
-5 meals have protein
-5 meals have serving of greens and other veggies
-2-4 meals will have grains
-Minimum of 3 meals will have fats (1-2 TB servings)
-2 meals will have a serving of fruit
Avoid all flour, sugar, alcohol, processed food and artificial sweeteners. Don’t worry, I’m not suggesting you eat like this forever, but you might find that you feel so good after eating like this that you will not want to go back fully to your old ways…it happened to me! I dislike this expression but its a good rule for anti-inflammatory eating: if you can’t kill it or pick it, don’t eat it.
5 Meditations: Your mind might wander and you might fall asleep, no biggie.
-Full body meditation: go from the outside in. Notice your skin then internal body. Feel or imagine energy entering you from your skin and going around inside you sending special energy to areas of discomfort, or to the heart or mind for empowerment.
-Light meditation: imagine light going into your back/heart/mind…whatever part you’re working on. Assign it a color. Imagine it healing and comforting the space in need.
-Childhood meditation: take yourself back to whatever you did as a kid that allowed hours to tick by without you noticing. Close your eyes and imagine doing that activity as a child, and everything about it: sounds, sights, smells, etc.
6 Energy empowerment/healing:
Rub palms together until heat builds. Hold palms parallel to each other to feel energy bounce hand to hand. Think of the most joyful image you can, imagine that joy taking shape as a ball in your hands and place hands on painful area or imbalanced chakra.
Watch a funny movie, show or read a book. Connect with a hilarious friend.
Who do you want to be around? Maybe its someone you haven’t seen in awhile.
Look back at loving memories through video and pictures: wedding album, pictures of kids as babies, etc.
9 Treats for your Inner Goddess/Superhero:
Trip planning-plan something that YOU really want
Blast your favorite music
Do anything that feels good and will meet your goals. Yoga for sure!
Go outside and witness the sights, sounds and smells.
12 Sleep-all you can. Like a teenager! That means naps, sleeping late, going to bed early.
13 Journal the good stuff. Write down the best, most fulfilling parts of your day.
14 Spoil yourself with indulgences that have only positive consequences. Be super present in anything that brings you pleasure.
15 Do Anything else that makes you feel the way you aim to feel.
