Here I am demonstrating Karen Young Yoga’s Pose of the Month. This month, we are exploring Parsva Bakasana, or side crow. Some of the benefits of this pose include a deep nourishing and detoxifying spinal twist, core strengthening, hand opening, and body awareness. Plus, it is an excellent way to bring weight bearing exercise to the upper body to decrease our chances of osteoporosis. Most importantly, it FEELS FABULOUS!  As always, approach challenging poses with a sense of self discovery and understand that the goal is not necessarily to end up in the final pose, but to stay present in each moment of the delicious process.  Come play!  See here for classes open to the public.
